Book Reviews: Emerging Gender Identities (Mark Yarhouse & Julia Sadusky; 2020); Embodied (Preston Sprinkle; 2021)

Margie and I have no expertise in this, including knowing which books to recommend if you want to pursue this vital issue. So, we are recommending two books that are recommended by friends who do have expertise. Wesley Hill and Steve Froehlich are both well-read pastors, trusted friends, wise thinkers, and godly followers of Jesus. Wes has a website he writes for with a group of kindred spirits, Spiritual Friendship, that we recommend highly. You can find it here. And Steve has written a lovely, thoughtful piece for us, “Christian Faithfulness and Gender Dysphoria,” that you can read here.

Books recommended by Hill and Froehlich:

Emerging Gender Identities: Understanding the Diverse Experiences of Today’s Youth by Mark Yarhouse and Julia Sadusky (Grand Rapids, MI: Brazos Press, 2020).

Embodied: Transgender Identities, the Church, and What the Bible Has to Say by Preston Sprinkle (Colorado Springs, CO: David C. Cook; 2021).
