There is an exciting new website for books and their authors called Shepherd. Yup. Just “Shepherd.” Just in time for the grey winter blues.
A young entrepreneur began reaching out to authors wanting to find a way to help bring readers to our books. Each of us are invited to choose one of our own books, tell readers who we are and what our book is about. I chose The Exact Place, my memoir about growing up in Northern Minnesota.
Then we list five of our favorite books—why we love them and why we recommend them to others. Here are five of my favorites.
It’s an addictive site and a lot of fun exploring many different authors and genres. Right now there are 10,000 authors who have posted about their own books and then given a short review of 5 books they love and want to share with others.
I’ve fallen down many rabbit holes and hopped out with wonderful books I knew nothing about.
Give it a try. You’ll find it fascinating.
